Vacation in Boracay Island

Hello guys, I'm back from my short year-end-vacation. This is the fourth country I've been for my 20 years of life WAHAHA. Also, I've completed one of my bucket list of 2015 - travel to two country in this year. Boracay Island - an island in Philippine that chosen as Best Overall Island of 2012 out of all the islands in the world by Travel+Leisure Magazine. A country that I nearly mistaken I'm in paradise!!

Boracay I'm coming!!!
Let's into the topic XD Woody booked the Air Asia airbus ticket from 28-31/12/15 for RM500 round trip per person. Some of my friends asked me why don't spend our countdown 2016 in Boracay too. Well this is a good question, I also don't know why woody made a 'cute decision' like this..haha I just take responsibilities on booking hotel and transportation. For first timer to Boracay, I suggested you to book transportation from official guidance (www.myboracayguide.com) because it is much more convenience and safety as you don't know the normal price range there and you can save up the time to bargain price with those drivers. Boracay Guide offer 4 transportation way with different price range and the guider will wait you outside the airport when you arrived. No matter you arrived at Kalibo airport or Caticlan airport, you can book your transport from Boracay Guide. We arrived Kalibo airport after 3 hours and 45 minutes of journey from KLIA2 - Kalibo airport to Caticlan by bus around 2 hours - Caticlan pier to Boracay by boat within 10 minutes and finally we reached Boracay!!! For the round trip of the transportation (bus+boat) is 700 peso per person. I almost vomit on bus due to motion sickness just like how we go Cameron Highlands. Or the 2nd way to Boracay is: fly to Manila Airport - fly from Manila Airport to Caticlan Airport - boat to Boracay. *There is no flight offer from Kalibo to Caticlan*

Woody was very 'pekchek' because his hairspray forfeited when luggage checking.
My body lotion and face moisturizer also forfeited =3=
SIM card and internet package can buy outside the departure hall of airport.
Received my guide book, Boracay map and VIP discount card with valid date from Boracay Guide. But I didn't use it because not all restaurant and shop corporate with Boracay Guide.
Welcome to Kalibo =)
All cab in Kalibo are Toyota Vios.
On the way to Caticlan pier, bus will stop at this rest area for tourists to buy food, drinks and WC.
It's almost night time when we reached pier. Woody was so excited when he first saw this ferry.
He thought that he is going to ride this boat to Boracay but NOT!!!
HAHAHA this is a cargo vessel actually..
After we reached Boracay, we ride a motorcar to our hotel with the guider of Boracay. I booked the hotel which located in Bulabog beach. Although the hotel was not a five star hotel but good service and pretty location (walking distance to Dmall and even White beach {Station 1-3}). After short rest and bathing in hotel, it's time for food hunting! HEHEHE! We walk to Dmall and Station 2, there's a lot of cafe, bar and restaurants with different style like Texas, Italian, Greek etc. In the end, we chose this Italian Restaurant named Caruso Restaurant for our dinner.
Nice environment and you can spot there's a guy lie on the chair haha!
This set meal is for Woody.
Crunchy and juicy chicken meat..
My appetizer. I called it PizzaBread @@ It come with my ala carte seafood spaghetti.
Cooked with white wine and the taste you can't eat in Msia. Strongly recommended!!!
Before we had our meal, we had booked for the water activities for day 2 and 3. At station 2, there will be a lot of agent come for us to promote their water activities. Their activities are same but the price you have to compare with each other. Choose the lowest price which offer by the agent and then BARGAIN PRICE!!! And also Don't Book Water Activities From Boracay Guide because their price cannot be bargain and it is much more expensive compare to agent-agent at the beach. Unless you're willing to be charged with higher price and don't like to bargain price with others. I get Parasailing, Jet Ski, Zipline & Cable Car and Paraw Sailing for 3350 peso.(This price still considered as high price compared to others) The agent asked us to paid 2000 peso for deposit but a tourist from KL too suggest us don't do that because last time her friends paid deposit but the agent didn't went to fetch them for activities. So in the end, we paid for 100 peso only as deposit and the agent pass us his license and we have to return it after the last activities.

Day 2. We enjoy our free breakfast in hotel at 9 am and after breakfast we went to Dmall to buy our swimsuit and bikini. Price in Boracay won't cheaper than Msia as my bargain skill also not so good. I suggested to buy in Msia if you had spot swimsuit you liked. Our agent wait us in front our hotel at 11 am as we appoint yesterday. Then~~~~~ we went for Parasailing for the first activity.
Let's go!! I'm so exciteddd~
Staff are so enthusiastic to help me on wearing life vest.
We're readyyy!
Setting up for Parasailing
Fly :D
Woody got acrophobia and he was so quiet while we're on the sky because he feel dizziness. I just laugh at him for his 'Noob' but when I go down to the boat I also feel seasick =X
This photo costs me 150 peso per copy. The photographer said this is company price and cannot bargain. After short rest, we continued for our second activity.
Jet Ski.
I bumped my butt for infinity timesss -.-
It's okay if don't know how to control a jet ski because there will have staff to drive and demo to us for one round in assign place. BUT..... if you crashed or even make a scratch on your jet ski, you'll be forfeit. Anyway just be careful and follow the instructions given by staff before driving. Around 2pm we went back to hotel to take a quick bath and met with our agent at 3pm for the third activity.
Here we go! Zipline and Cable Car!
Before sliding, I feel goose bump and keep thinking about why I choose this activity!?
But when sliding, it's feel good!! haha! Nice experience!
Woody on my left side because I'm always the right one =P
Can you spot me?
Now we notice that we still haven't had our lunch. We just skip our lunch and gonna had our dinner at a small restaurant just next to out hotel due to we saw full house in the restaurant yesterday. Hmm..it must be delicious 0.0
The Indios Bravos
Comfortable environment and their female boss is very friendly and polite!
A series of alcohol and beer. Customize what you want!
Unique design for their menu.
Pub-style Fish and Chips.
Fish outer wrap by a thick layer of flour and inner fill with some mash potato.
Match with their own unique vinegar and white sauce is just perfect!
Thin layer but big piece of pork meat. Tender and small good.
Make my appetite increased to the max!

Day 3. Woody has another name called sleeping beauty. Although we came for vacation he still sleep till afternoon ZZZ I woke up in morning and finally this is my free time to connect wifi in hotel! I had disconnected with the world outside of Boracay for two days. After playing my social media, is time for TV~! Haha I found that there was a lot of interesting movie showing on the TV program.
Taadaa! Is Kung Fu Panda 2!

Around 11am, I went for a walk at Bulabog beach. This is a place where people playing Kite Surfing. I just have to walk through an alley then I reached Bulabog.
Before I walk through the alley. Hmm..
After I walk to the end of alley which face the beach. XD

Vitality right?!
One of a Kite Surfing coach named Brian.
He is from America and stay every 6 months in Boracay and 6 months in America.
We can see dog running, lying, walking everywhere on the beach.
Dogs in Boracay are very 'polite' too. They don't simply bark and chase strangers.
“There's a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they're absolutely free.
Don't miss so many of them.”
Lunch time with sea breeze. Their furniture are very ‘beach style’.
The man who naked upper body is Edward.
He is Holland people and came Boracay for 3 weeks vacation.
We started our conversation because he thought I'm from Japan[-chuckle-].
The pink dress girl is a crazy fans of Nutella =X
One of a reason that I liked to travel because I like the feel when make friends with people in foreign country.
Spaghetti again = =
We had tired for looking where and what to eat that's why we pick our meal randomly.
Sunset time. Let's go for Paraw Sailing!
Yeah!
At the time we back to seashore, there're many groups of children and teenagers heaping sand words with candles inside for tourists to take photo with. Each time will costs you for 100 peso.
Recommended to have dinner here(Station 2).
Food with affordable price and easygoing, open air environment. This is the cheapest dinner we had for these 3 nights. They have lounge singer and torch performance too. We had local beer: Pale Pilsen and Red Horse Beer for our last night in Boracay. Woody accidentally delete my food photo.. Well you can try their pork rib, BBQ taste with a little spicy.

For the last day, I woke up in 7.30am and quickly pack up my luggage because I must go Willy Rock before I depart. Walking distance for round trip take me 40 minutes because it located at Station 1. Guider of Boracay appointed 9.30am to fetch me at hotel to airport. The time was just too compact for me to pack my luggage, visit Willy Rock and having breakfast.
8.20am of White beach. Peaceful and gentle.
Watch sunrise at Bulabog beach;
Watch sunset at White beach(Station 1-3).
Finally I walk till Willy Rock. Sweating all the way /_\
Saint Maria.
Main religion in Philippine are Catholic.
31/12 The last day of 2015, people held wedding ceremony in front of Willy Rock.
I will miss this beautiful paradise after I leave here!
The last time I walk through Dmall for this vacation...
*Dmall was not a mall, it's make up with a few streets that full of shop*
Welcome =P
If you feel hungry at Kalibo airport, you can have your meal at this cafe that located at corner side of 2nd floor. The price are reasonable and have variety of choices.
I only realized it after I bought the expensive instant noodle ...=(
Bought this for 160 peso and mineral water for 30 peso at the opposite shop of the cafe above.

The most hot selling of souvenir in Boracay are dried mangoes. 7D and Cebu are the TWO of most famous brand dried mangoes. We bought for 3 packages of 7D dried mangoes for 195 peso in Dmall and 3 packages of Cebu dried mangoes for 200 peso at Caticlan pier. I found that Cebu brand is nicer and crisper compared to 7D brand (depends on personal preferences).

Small tips: Boracay is a tipping island. Most visitors to Boracay and the Philippines are often confused about how much to tip. The simple answer is: tip however much you feel comfortable tipping. The economic situation of the Philippines is always in constant flux, so be a responsible tourist and support the local economy and local people. If you satisfy to their service, don't forget to give them some tips. You can see Tips Box at many places. At Caticlan pier, if you let the people there to help you carry your luggage, you've to pay them tips for 10-20 peso. Never give them coins as tips because they considered this as alms poor!
